Fireproofing : |
| |
'Fireproofing" is term refers to protection against fire. The fireproofing coating is applied over structural steel to protect against fire The below pictures gives you an idea how fireproofing coating works. |
 |
|
| |
We have added Fireproofing Division which is of paramount importance in today’s High Tech world. We are the pioneers in structural fireproofing. We determine the proper fireproofing systems for a given project in accordance with the specification, U.L. requirements and local codes such as Kuwait Fire Brigade authority. The fireproofing is important for both new construction as well as older buildings that are being re-fireproofed after asbestos abatement. The steel structure can be fireproofed from 30 min – 4 Hrs. depending on requirement. However minimum fire rating in Kuwait is 2 Hrs. as per Kuwait Fire Brigade requirements |

We are the approved Applicator for M/s. Carboline–USA and M/s. A/D Fire Protection Systems Inc.-Canada in Kuwait. The products are approved by Kuwait Fire Brigade and many other authorities and consultants. The products comply with ASTM and BS standards. Also, we are approved by Kuwait National Petroleum Co. (KNPC) as an applicator for oil sector. |
| |
We are dealing with Passive Fire Protection for structural steel, which is mainly of three types. |
| |
|
Cementitious Fireproofing–Cellulosic (Commercial) / Hydrocarbon (Refineries & Oil Sectors) |
|
Intumescent Fireproofing – Cellulosic (Commercial) / Hydrocarbon (Refineries & Oil Sectors) |
|
Board Type Fireproofing – Cellulosic (Commercial) |
|
 |
 |
| |
The above can be either for cellulose fire and Hydrocarbon fires depending on project specification, which we are capable of handling. Please find below the chart for Fireproofing products. |
| |
|
|
CEMENTITIOUS FIREPROOFING: |
| |
Low Density Fireproofing: |
| |
proven in place performance on interior structural members make these products the most widely used fireproofing material in the world. The products are cost effective because of density and the ease of spray applications to protect steel. |
| |
Typical Use: Interior Concealed Applications |
| |
|
| |
Medium Density Fireproofing: |
| |
designed for applications where the potential for physical abuse is a consideration. These products density have an increased bond strength over the low-density materials. |
| |
Typical Use: Interior Exposed applications. |
| |
|
| |
High Density Fireproofing: |
| |
Designed for use in applications where severe weather conditions exist such as in external exposed conditions in commercial buildings and in Refineries and oil sectors. It is a durable product that is excellent for use in high traffic areas such as parking garages. |
| |
Typical use: Interim or Exterior Exposed Conditions. |
| |
 |
|
INTUMESCENT FIREPROOFING: |
| |
It is a decorative thin filmed fireproofing for structural steel. This material allows the designer to express structure as an art form at interior locations in buildings where fire resistance ratings are required. |
| |
Typical Use: Interior Exposed Structural Steel. |
| |
|
| |
Intumescent Fireproofing generally used where hygienic conditions are required and structures are exposed. These fireproofing provides elegant look and can be painted with colours of your choice as topcoat. |
 |
 |
| |
Hydrocarbon Intumescent Coating or Epoxy intumescent can be used for hydrocarbon fire protection such as in Refineries and oil sectors. This also can serve as corrosion resistant coating. The coating is resistant to Alkalis, Solvents, acids and salt. |
| |
|
|
Board Type Fireproofing: |
| |
A wide variety of proprietary boards and systems are now available for encasement of steelwork. These are commonly manufactured from gypsum, vermiculux and calcium silicate. The board encasement acts as an insulating layer, prolonging the load bearing capability of the steel. Generally the boards are fixed to lightweight metal fixings which form part of the system |

|
Fire Stopping: |
| |
Fire stopping is a term used to describe the use of building materials to prevent the spread of flames, heat, or gases through penetrations in fire-rated walls escape ways, ceilings, or floors for things such as pipes, ducts, wiring, etc. |
 |
 |
| |
Firestop is a passive fire protection system of various components used to seal openings in fire-resistance rated wall and/or floor assemblies through bonding which is based on elaborate fire testing as well as environmental testing, in some cases. |
 |
 |
| |
A firestop system is a combination of products, either pre-manufactured or assembled in the field that, once installed correctly to a U.L. rated design, prevent the passage of flames, heat, or gases between compartments. |
| |
|
| |
We are the approved applicators for M/s. A/D Fire stopping and M/s. Nullifire Fire stopping system. |
